We collect: (a) your email address when you create an account; (b) ratings, captions, and venue data you submit; (c) usage data such as pages visited and features used; (d) device and browser information for security and analytics purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate and improve the Service; send magic link authentication emails; notify you of activity on your account; provide customer support; and analyze usage to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use Vercel Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregated usage statistics. No cross-site tracking cookies are used. You can clear cookies at any time via your browser settings.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Neon PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and encrypt sensitive fields at rest. Authentication uses short-lived JWT tokens sent via email — no passwords are stored.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Stripe (payment processing — subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy); Resend (transactional email); Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each service has its own privacy policy which governs their data practices.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; export your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email us at: hello@ratethevibe.com
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
